First we went to the arch. Very Very cool. But you do have to wait for quite awhile to be about to go up the tram to the top.
It was a little squishy in the little tram. It takes about 4 min to get up 640 ft.
A view from the top looking down at all the people waiting for the fireworks.
A view of the Mississippi River
Fireworks under the arch, Very COOL! and they have very big display. But you have to suffer the consequences of terrible traffic. We sat in the parking garage for about an hour trying to get out and then another 30 min or so to finally get on the interstate and get moving. UGGH
The next day we went to the Bush plant to see how beer was made. It is very cool to see all the buildings and the tour is completely free.
One of these tanks holds enough beer that if you drank a 6 pack a day it would take you 130 years to drink all of it.
The bottling plant, which unfortunately was being cleaned when we walked through. We did get to see the can line.
Free beer at the end of each tour, well Nathaniel had some and I had sprite.
That same day we went to the St Louis Zoo, not as cool as Omaha, but free (besides parking)
You could get so close to the penguins. If we really wanted to we could have reached out and touched them. We were getting wet from them jumping into the water.
Then on Sunday we went to the botanical garden. They had absolutely gorgeous lilies in bloom.
